About us

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT PICASSO JOINERY

Hi I’m Peter, owner and operator of Picasso Joinery.

Carpentry is something I’ve had a passion for my whole life. My father was an engineer and had a workshop; I used to spend hours in there building things like trolleys. At 17, I became an apprentice for a builder.

In 2015 I leased a working space from The Joinery Shop, and Picasso Joinery was born. I’d always wanted to run my own business do things my way. I already had a lot of repeat business and referrals so the business just grew from there.

We’ve been serving our community in the Hutt Valley and the wider Wellington region for 16 years now and still live for the delight we see in our customers faces when they see our final product, it’s why we do what we do!

OUR PROCESS

No matter what stage of the building or renovation process you’re in, we can lend a hand.

1

You get into contact with us letting us know you have a project you’re wanting our help with

2

We get all further details from you via phone or email on what the job entails. We then schedule a time to meet at the house or site you require our services for

3

We have a sit-down to discuss what stage you’re at in terms of your ideas. We listen to what you’re wanting and we also view the space, soak up its flow and functionality, and take measurements

4

We then begin to draft the design and begin to gather material samples.

5

We then quote the work needing to be done, once you accepted the quote, we get to work on your project

6

We keep you up to date on your project’s progress and try to set a clear date as to when the work will be complete. You are welcome to come visit our workshop so you can view your project in person. The product will then be sent off to be disassembled and installed

7

Once completed, we deliver and install your product, so you can begin to enjoy it
